Gparted is easily the best partition software out there. Partition editing would have never been easier. It comes with all Linux distributions, and also comes as Live CD/USB option with which you can boot up to fire Gparted and create or modify your partitions. It has nice GUI and very easy to use interface, and if you use the live CD/USB version  (which I would recommend you do), it is much faster to use as none of the disk drives are mounted hence not requiring any reboots.

It supports all kinds of windows and linux partitions, and best of all it is FREE! You can use it even to partition your hard drive in netbooks, if you use the USB image, the procedure to make a bootable Gparted USB stick is described at their website.

CAUTION:   Editing partitions has the potential to cause LOSS of DATA.
You are advised to BACKUP your DATA before using any partition application.
