Safari 5 comes with an excellent reader that removes the clutter on the webpage making reading articles very enjoyable. It is one of the ideas that I feel should be bundled with all the web browsers. Here is Safari Reader in action. As it senses an article on the page, a Reader icon displays in the right corner of the URL bar. Press the icon, and a clean page is rendered.

For similar functionality on all the browsers, Readability comes to rescue. It is very simple to setup and is OS and browser independent. All that is needed is to visit this website and drag the readability badge to the browser toolbar!

Now when you reach an article, just press the readability icon in the bookmarks toolbar and you have an Ads free, clutter free reading experience.

Both Safari Reader and Readability give you option to print and email the rendered page. If you haven’t updated to Safari 5, this is a good reason to. For all other browsers/ OS, visit Readability and enjoy reading online.
