Solution to Strange Error Thrown By Latex on Ubuntu 10.04

If your latex installation is throwing a weird error like this:

Then the solution simply lies in the installation of latex recommended fonts, install them by doing this, if you are a Ubuntu user

sudo apt-get install texlive-fonts-recommended

and this error should go away.

    I find same problem with latex, mentioned above after upgrading my system to Ubuntu 10.04. However, I can’t
    rule out the error/problem with your solution.

    @sokalim, I am sure you would have already tried uninstalling all latex packages and reinstalling them again? This tends to fix issues in several cases. But these few lines are not enough to get much clue. Post entire error log. Don’t worry I can delete it later, or you can post it by starting a new thread in the forum that we just launched.
